Little Birches in Sonning Common (nursery and pre-school) is open 52 weeks of the year and offers a variety of sessions, including full-day care, morning and afternoon sessions.
Full day: 7.30am – 6.00pm
Morning session: 7.30am – 12.30pm
Afternoon session: 12.30pm – 6.00pm
Our opening hours are 7.30am until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, and we’re open every day apart from bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year.
Little Birches provides childcare for little ones aged from 3 months to 60 months. All children are provided with highly nutritious, varied and delicious meals throughout the day.
We make sure that we strictly adhere to Ofsted’s key development areas.
Lorna has over ten years’ experience in Early Years and seven years’ experience in a senior role. Lorna completed her Level-3 Childcare & Education in college then alongside working in a nursery she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years, which took five years to complete along with a Leadership and Management qualification.
Lorna has considerable experience in working with children with additional needs and supporting children with challenging behaviour. Lorna believes it’s important to meet every individual child’s needs through a nurturing and secure key person approach.
Lorna has always wanted to work in Early Years and sees this as her vocation. She is passionate about Early Years and feels the first five years of a child’s life are critical to establishing a strong foundations for children to flourish and thrive in life.
