Our daughter started in the baby room 2 days a week in September. The team were so good at support her with going in and settling her in. She absolutely loves her key worker and loves going in and playing with the other children. She has learnt so much with them as well. Loads of songs, games, crafts and even some sign language and table manners. As first time parents we were anxious sending her to nursery at first but they couldn't have reassured us more with updates by phone and pictures of what she's getting up to in the day. Couldn't recommend little birches west wickham more highly.

Little Birches is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter attended for two years, having just left to start reception. She was so happy at Little Birches. The staff really are wonderful and we can't thank them enough. They provide such nuture and care for the children as well as wonderful learning opportunities. They offer a really child centered approach to learning with real thought and care for the children as individuals. Thank you so much Little Birches. We will miss you!

My oldest son went to little birches and had the most wonderful 2 years… so I was so happy for my youngest to get a place. I’ve been so happy with his key worker Nel, I felt straight away that he was in good hands, and he was so comfortable with her, he fell asleep in her arms on his second visit. I have always felt little birches is such a beautiful and safe environment for the children, with dedicated staff that truly care about the children. I couldn’t imagine sending my children anywhere else

My son has attended Little Birches for 2 and a half years now and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. What a wonderful nursery it is. The kind, caring staff are so invested in creating wonderful experiences for the children and my son goes in to nursery happily and leaves with a smile and plenty of happy stories. The outside area is great and just perfect for my active, outdoor loving boy! He has made so much progress at Little Birches - it is unbelievable to think that when he started he had a speech delay and now he is so confident communicating! We are so pleased to have found Little Birches and will miss them so much when my son goes to school in September.

My little girl attended this nursery from January 22 until leaving this month. It’s safe to say Little Birches is an exceptional nursery, providing comfortable and safe place for your children to learn and be themselves. Every single member of staff I come into contact with were above & beyond excellent. The nursery provides daily updates on apps and when you pick your child up, you feel constantly secure in the fact that your child is being looked after personally and not just one of many children at a nursery. Thank you to the whole team for everything you done for my little girl! I hope you continue to do the same for many other children! We will miss you all!

Our daughter went to another nursery nearby and she dreaded going every day. Since going to Little Birches I have seen such a huge Improvement in her. The staff are amazing, she has had significant speech delay due to a sensory disorder but they really went the extra mile to understand her and also push her development. With daily pictures and updates you always feel like she's in great care. I cannot wait for my son to attend too!

I cannot thank Little Birches enough. They have gone above and beyond for our daughter. We cannot believe how much she has progressed since joining back in 2021. Not only are they great with communication but a great support in getting the extra help our daughter needs, before starting primary school. Our daughter went from refusing to attend her original nursery to running in with a smile and not looking back. Thank you for everything, can't wait for our son to start his preschool journey with you soon!

My daughter has been attending Little Birches for the past 18 months and it's the staff that have made the experience incredible. She came on leaps and bounds in her first year with Mrs Sage as her key worker. Mel has also been amazing, always supportive and helpful- I can't say enough good things

I highly recommend LB to anyone looking for a nursery for their child. The staff are amazing with the children and care for them like they are their own. The activities provided are brilliant and they always ensure they celebrate different religions. My son has come so far since starting here and we are so sad to be leaving in September as he is now going onto primary school. Thank you so much LB for your amazing care towards my son, we will miss you all x

We have been at Little Birches since September 2019, nearly 4 years now with my 2 kids attending one after the other and I can honestly say we have had the best 4 years! The team have been so dedicated in ensuring that each child is safe, happy, loved, and are having a great day, every day. From their one to one conversations with the children to their interactions during playtime my kids have just excelled through their time at LB. My son who was 2 when he started and could only speak a few words quickly grasped speech and was talking full sentences within a few months! The efforts that are made during different religious festivals during the year and how they dedicate days/ week to celebrate properly is just brilliant. I have seen them confidence grow over the years. Extra curricular activities are fantastic and always something happening during the week so that all children get a try, and forest school has been a big highlight too in the lovely woodlands near the nursery. Food wise, the children have been provided a variety of fresh dishes which have helped grow their pallets and have also included diverse dishes too which is lovely to see. It’s just been a pleasure being a part of the LB family and seeing my kids just walk in each day with ease and come out beaming after a great day they have had. Little Birches, we only have 3 months left before my daughter starts reception and it’s going to be heartbreaking and we will miss everyone there! Thank you for best 4 years and we can’t recommend you enough!

I can’t recommend the staff and facilities enough, wonderful setting, beautiful classrooms and the staff are so warm, dedicated and always there to answer all my questions. Lovely calm and friendly environment. My daughter is thriving and so excited to see her key worker each day! So delighted with this preschool 😊

My son has attended Little Birches for almost a year now, and I can’t speak highly enough. Little Birches is more than a nursery, the mentors get to know the children so well, they become friends themselves. Evident when your son wants to buy Christmas & thank you presents to his mentors at his own request! The facilities are everything you could ask for, safe, out of sight, with real items to play with eg old laptops, kettles, phones (as opposed to plastic tut!) & the Astro-turfed garden is a blessing for the children to use all year round. The extra curricular activities are what set Little Birches apart - whether your child attends for a couple of mornings or 5 full days a week, they are entertained with the amazing, thoughtful & creative activities / extra curricular sessions that are planned for them, making every session very different & encouraging our children to be curious at every opportunity. We recently attended my son’s 1st sports day and it was such a fabulous morning! Those memories will last, for us and for him. My only niggle is that LB doesn’t take younger babies - I think I could fill a class if they did, with family and friends that would place them from 1 years old. So I have my newest baby on the waitlist in a couple of years time already. Thank you for everything you do Little Birches, especially Mrs Simpkins who as a family, we adore!

My 4 year old has been attending Little Birches since just before his 3rd birthday and his older brother was in the first class of Little Birches. I plan on sending my youngest when his time comes so I think that says everything about this preschool! The staff seem to genuinely care for each and every child and treat them all individually catering for their needs. It has a wonderful setting and the outside space is such an asset and is secure and safe. My boys all loved forest school and the array of inventive activities that are offered on a daily basis. My son's confidence has grown since being at Little Birches and he excitedly tells us what he has been up to at the end of his day and the written and photo updates on Tapestry are lovely to see. Thank you to all of the team for being caring and giving my boys the best start to their education.

My son has attended Little Birches West Wickham for over a year now. I can highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for the best possible place. Ultimately, I wanted my child to be happy and he really is, he walks in most days and doesn’t stop to look back - that is because he is comfortable and feels safe in this environment. The hard-working staff all know my son and my son knows them all. They have created a nurturing environment, where he is invited to play, explore, be curious, respect others and learn life skills. If you haven’t already, it’s worth a visit as we were blown away by the different indoor and outdoor learning spaces, each decorated and resourced in an eco-friendly way, not to mention the forest school in the surrounding woods. My son has formed the most wonderful friendships already, and we are regularly updated with photos and comments about his progress via Tapestry and at the gate. We feel very much a part of the LB family and are incredibly lucky to have our son attend here.

Of all the nurseries weve looked at or used for our two children, this is head and shoulders above! Forget the image of young school leavers working in a nursery for a couple of years until they figure out what they want to do, high staff turnover, unfamiliar agency staff because of unreliable people whose hearts aren’t really in the job. At Little Birches Nursery there is hardly any staff turnover and the people who work there have done so for years – they are invested in what they do, they really care, it’s their career and you can tell they absolutely love their work! The actual nursery itself is set in a lovely location with a big outdoor space that the children are really encouraged to spend time in. Inside it’s like a treasure trove of creative fun! Whoever designs the displays and the play areas must have a degree in interior design because it looks phenomenal and exciting. I only wish we had discovered Little Burches in time for my son but thank goodness we discovered it in time for my daughter, who has absolutely flourished there. Her confidence has shot up and she comes out of nursery beaming with pride, telling me all about the different activities they have done. They cover a huge range of activities such as ballet, football, karate, Forest School, and a lot of the play is located outside which is fantastic for the children’s emotional and physical health. But they go above and beyond – they thought really innovatively about how to help the children learn to talk about similarities and differences in their ethnicities, their skin colour, their family backgrounds, even at the age of two. They don’t avoid important social issues and they help scaffold things for the children and help them to understand their feelings. I overheard my three-year-old tell her big brother that it’s important to let the tears out if he feels upset and that it’s ok to feel sad. I praised her for such wisdom and she said it’s what she’s told at nursery. The culture there is so enriching for them, teaching them how to carry themselves in the world. The adults there really invest in a proper relationship with the children to make them feel safe, loved and tuned into. We will really miss the culture and people at Little Birches Nursery it’s a beautiful community, and the only reason we are leaving is for my daughter to begin school, which they have set her up beautifully for.

We have been thrilled with this preschool. Everyday is packed with fun activities and I love the outside courtyard the children can play in. My little boy joined in August and he has developed so much. His speech is a lot more advanced, he has learnt to share, he has made great relationships with the staff who have been so wonderful. I have a very excited boy when we tell him he’s off to preschool. They have handled the COVID-19 situation very well keeping the children safe and clean. I drop him off knowing he’s happy and will have an educational and fun packed day in a loving environment. It’s so lovely to see how much he enjoys going there.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since September and loves it. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They have individual approach to kids. My daughter changed since we started. She became more independent and more confident. It's a nice and calm environment. We used to go to different nursery and I cannot even compare them. This is more like home from home place. I am so happy we choose Little Birches. And I would like to say "huge thank you" to staff. You are doing fantastic job!

Our little girl loves going to Little Birches! Staff are lovely and the outside space in particular is fantastic. The recent addition of Forest School sessions has been a huge hit! My daughter clearly enjoys the food, judging by how much of it she eats and there are always lots of different activities for the children to do.

Little Birches is an amazing pre-school cannot recommend it enough. Every child gets individual focus, it's so community focussed and they do a great job and bringing the children and parents together even for us full time parents. Every staff member is amazing and my son went from strength to strength, they are so supportive! You won't regret sending your child here, the outdoor play area, forest school ,breakfast clubs and trips are all perfect for pre school children getting prepared for reception. Thank you Little Birches!

Absolutely fantastic pre school, brilliant inside and outside space. The teachers are amazing and I feel at ease leaving my children with them! They even run a free community toddler group on a Tuesday, which my youngest goes to. My daughter has left for school now and even though we are extremely excited for big school, we will miss going to little birches every day. Thank you little birches.

If you’re looking for a nursery, look no further you’ve found it. Do not pass up visiting and seeing for yourself!! We have recently moved our 3 year old son from another nursery with a great reputation in Bromley, facilities were great, garden was huge but it just wasn’t a good fit. We realise now what we were missing out on... passionate, enthusiastic staff who REALLY take care to understand you and your family needs. Staff who are attentive to your child and take time to understand your own circumstances. Staff who immediately recognise when you need support on those tough mornings when you need to get to work but your child isn’t ready to say good bye and a nursery that communicates with you impeccably. Weekly menu updates, hand overs, daily updates, Instagram posts. I love it. My wife has worked in child care for 15 years and at some of the best nurseries in south east London and she cannot talk more highly. Staff, it’s all about the staff!!! Stop reading this and book an appointment.
